The dates for three new Schaeffler REPXPERT training courses have been confirmed. These hands-on events are available free of charge to REPXPERT users across Ireland and are held at Schaeffler’s Birmingham training academy.

The first session will take place on Tuesday 24th April and will be presented by the renowned REPXPERT Technical Trainer, Alistair Mason. Focusing on clutch technology, Alistair will share his extensive clutch system knowledge by illustrating the importance of design, construction, operation, testing and diagnosis of all components. The session will then be handed over to the attendees, who will be tasked with installing a self-adjusting clutch and testing a Dual Mass Flywheel (DMF).

On Wednesday 30th May there will be the highly-popular INA and FAG course. This is presented  by REPXPERT, Tim Adams and he will guide attendees through a comprehensive curriculum, focusing on timing systems, front end auxiliary drive systems (FEAD) and wheel bearings. It includes a mixture of interactive theory and discussion about how the various systems operate, how technology has evolved and, consequently, how technicians can adapt to the latest developments. This will be followed by attendees getting hands on in various practical scenarios.

On Tuesday 19th June, the ever-popular IMI-approved LuK 2CT Double Clutch training course will take place. Those interested are urged to sign-up quickly to avoid disappointment and a small fee does apply to cover IMI certification. Alistair Mason will return to deliver the training, which will include a summary of double clutch transmissions, as well as theory on the operation, components, installation and tooling for the VW DSG, Renault DC4/Ford DPS6 and Fiat/Alfa Romeo DDCT 6. At the conclusion of Alistair’s presentation, which will culminate in a valuable segment about double clutch diagnosis, attendees will be assessed while changing a clutch and set-up of each of the vehicles studied, including a flywheel reset.

More information can be found and bookings can be made on the REPXPERT website. Users can also find REPXPERT on Facebook and Twitter – @REPXPERT.co.uk and @REPXPERT_UK respectively, while there is also a useful playlist on the Schaeffler REPXPERT YouTube channel, which streams many handy videos on LuK, INA, FAG and Ruville components.
