The Motul name is renowned the world over for high-quality lubricants for both four wheel and two wheel vehicles.
MOTUL products are manufactured at an advanced facility near Paris, with every lubricant formulated to deliver excellent performance either on road or track. The brand has been at the forefront of all forms of Motorsport for many decades, particularly in high stress environments such as the Le Mans 24 Hours, The Dakar Rally, World Endurance Championships, Moto GP and many others. MOTUL oils also carry full manufacturer approvals and can play a key role in helping modern engines meet stringent emissions and performance expectations, with the oil working harder and lasting longer, often with less oil in the sump to deliver the performance.
MOTUL can trace its origins right back to 1853 and has been an innovator in its field throughout its history. In the latter half of the 20th century, the company was a pioneer in several fields, developing technologies which went on to be the bench mark for automotive lubricants. This included, in 1958, the first multi grade lubricant and in 1966, the first semi synthetic oil. 1971 saw another MOTUL first, with a fully synthetic 4 stroke engine oil, introduced utilising Ester technology. More recently in 2017 the company launched the first hybrid specific lubricant range.
MOTUL continues to push the boundaries of lubricant performance, both in motor sports and for road vehicles, using its extensive racing and rallying experience as a test bed for product development, together with its highly advanced research laboratory and testing facilities. This allows the company to develop oils required for the very latest engine requirements, with oils of high performance and first class quality for cars, bikes, ATVs, marine, commercial vehicle and Industrial applications. These are available in packs from small consumer sizes up to bulk sized garage supply.
More recently MOTUL has used its extensive knowledge and expertise to introduce a range of additives and car care products.
