Oil specialist Liqui Moly has announced a sponsorship deal for with the Moto3 World Champion Sandro Cortese. This year Cortese lines up in the Moto2 class and both his racing suit and bike will proudly carry the Liqui Moly logo.

Peter Baumann, Marketing Manager at Liqui Moly says the sponsorship is designed to strengthen the recognition of the company’s oil products in the motorcycle sector. He commented, 'Many people only think of cars when they think of Liqui Moly, but in the Racing Line we have our own product range for motorcycles.'

Twenty two year old Sandro Cortese started riding in pocket bike races at just 8 years old and convincingly won the Moto 3 world championship at the first attempt last year. This year he is switching to the Moto2 class, a hard-fought prototype racing class within the FIM motorcycle road world championship.

The Moto2 World Championship season opener takes place on April 7th with a night Grand Prix in Doha, Qatar.
