Two of the men who have made a huge contribution to the successful development of German oil and additive specialist LIQUI MOLY are celebrating their 30th anniversary with the company.

Ernst Prost and Günter Hiermaier joined LIQUI MOLY in 1990, a time when East German was experiencing the last hours of its existence before reunification and LIQUI MOLY itself was a very small player in the industry. Both worked tirelessly to build the company success and the small player has become a global brand. Sales of EUR 55 million have grown to EUR 569 million and LIQUI MOLY is now active in more than 150 countries as well as new business fields, such as motorcycles, boats and industry. Today it is a high profile brand and can be seen in the Formula 1, MotoGP and many other sporting events. It is also considered the best oil brand of all among the readers of many car magazines.

In 2018, Ernst Prost, who had become the company owner, sold LIQUI MOLY to the Würth Group in order to safeguard its future even after his era, but remained on board as Managing Director. Hiermaier was also appointed Managing Director at the same time.

In a company that prides itself on staff loyalty, 30 years service is not uncommon. As a tradition, the staff turnover is very low and the record for employment is 49 years.
