YouTube superstar and rally driver Ken Block took time out of his busy schedule ahead of the Joule Donegal International Rally to meet and greet SONAX customers and fans at an event held in Hegarty’s Ford garage in Letterkenny. Guests also had the opportunity to check out his rally car, a 1994 Hoonigan Racing Ford Escort Cosworth.
The highly-coveted opportunity to meet Ken, the top rally stunt driver in the world, was offered as part of a promotion run by Irish SONAX distributor Serfac Limited, in conjunction with their customer 1 Stop Motorshop in Letterkenny.
Star of the hugely popular “Gymkhana” videos on YouTube which have been viewed over 500 million times, Block has more than 13 million followers across various social media channels.
Ken has been partnering with world-leading high-performance car care products manufacturer SONAX since 2016 and the brand is visible on Block’s Ford Focus RS and the entire “Hoonigan Racing Division” fleet at FIA World Rallycross Championship (WRX).
Speaking to Eamonn Cassidy of Serfac at the event, Ken said, “I’m really enjoying Ireland so far. The countryside is beautiful and the roads are incredible – really challenging.”
