Federal-Mogul Motorparts, has launched a new range of high quality, cost effective wiper blades that it says are up to 60% lighter than competing products. The Champion Rainy Day range uses only 13 part references to provide extensive coverage of all popular European models.

Rainy Day wipers, which will be available to stock from April, are engineered with fewer components without negatively impacting performance or durability. A slim profile and low mass blade design provides a discrete appearance and improves safety by providing a better view, enabling reduction of spray, wind noise and lift. The new range has been designed, engineered and produced at state-of-the-art R&D facilities in Aubange, Belgium, where intensive testing includes simulated extreme weather conditions.

Jerry Banks, Senior Product Manager Wipers, for Federal-Mogul Motorparts, EMEA said, "Champion Rainy Day wipers have been designed to provide a complete range of wipers to meet consumer needs, offering a high-quality product at a lesser price from a reduced number of references, easing the process of selecting the right wipers.” He added, "Through extensive research and development work in harsh winter and dry summer conditions, Champion offers OE-quality benefits across its complete wiper range.”

Jerry points out that the optimised construction of Champion Rainy Day wipers, featuring fewer components, ensures a robust design that is more resistant to unfavourable weather and sub-zero conditions. The use of seven multiclips and one classic clip connector offers universal fit for a wide variety of vehicles, with fitment aided via QR code-equipped pillow pack and sleeves, which also provide catalogue access.
