Mercedes on-line recovery guides
Mercedes has issued some new on-line practical guides aimed at anyone involved in the recovery and towing of Actros, Atego and Axor trucks. The guides for each truck can be easily downloaded and include comprehensive instructions, as well as photos and diagrams. They are available at: https://portal.aftersales.i.daimler.com/public/content/asportal/en/communication.html.
A Mercedes spokesman said, "Recovery services have an important role in the rapid removal of damaged trucks and the guideline informs them how best to respond quickly and correctly after a breakdown or accident. As trucks are by nature extremely heavy, the recovery procedure must be precise to avoid further damage. The relevant parameters are described in detail in the guideline."
