Caroline has the Feirm factor


Caroline O'Neill from Ballinadee, Co. Cork, winner of Feirm Factor receives the keys of her new Land Rover Discovery from Anthony Neville of Land Rover.

Series 2 of the TG4 programme Feirm Factor sponsored by Land Rover Ireland took 12 farmers from across the country and challenged their farming skills, business acumen and physical and mental endurance. The aim was to find Ireland's premier farmer.



Contestants were asked to prove their worth as farmers through a variety of tasks. After nine tough weeks of silage, sweat and tears, twelve were whittled down to three. Judges Alan Dukes, Seán O'Lionáird and TV Presenter Maura Derrane voted Caroline O'Neill as the Feirm Factor Champion 2010 and winner of a Land Rover Discovery.

25 year old Caroline O'Neill from Ballinadee, Co. Cork, a former regional Queen of The Land, entered the competition to show her capabilities and dispel any sexist attitudes to women in farming today.
