Ring Automotive has announced that it will continue its sponsorship agreement and support for young Polish driver Piotr Parys Jr as he continues on the next stage of his motor racing development. The supplier of vehicle lighting, auto electric products and car accessories has identified the 17 year old as an exceptional talent and has sponsored him both in the 2015 Volkswagen Golf Cup, and the Porsche GT3 Eastern Europe Challenge Cup in 2016.

With continued support from Ring, 2016 was a breakthrough year for Piotr. Out of 16 races he won 15, with just one second position finish. Such a spectacular season did not go unnoticed and as a result Porsche invited Piotr to race its premium series, the Porsche Mobil 1 Super Cup.

Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup has become part of many FIA Formula 1 World Championship events and is always held directly ahead of the Grand Prix races. The tournament, which is considered the most competitive of the worldwide Porsche one-make series, has provided a riveting stage for the drama of driving to the limit and sparks enthusiasm in drivers, teams, partners and sponsors alike.

Ring has seen steady growth across Europe with distributors in every country from France to Russia. The Porsche Mobil 1 Super Cup was identified as platform to continue to raise the profile of the brand and business throughout this territory. As part of the agreement for the 2017 season, the Ring logo will be displayed on the front bonnet of Piotr Parys’ cars, as well as on his overalls and across all his social media platforms.

Gonzalo Vargas, International Business Division Sales Director for Ring, comments: “Ring is delighted to be partnering Piotr Parys. We’ve identified a strong interest in motor racing from our European customers. The Porsche Mobil Super Cup reaches such a wide audience internationally, with over 100,000 fans attending during the race days and many millions more watching on TV, it is a brilliant platform for our brand.

This year will mark the 25th anniversary of the Super Cup, which as well as attracting 125,000 spectators during each round, also reports 30 million TV viewers across 54 countries worldwide. The first round will be held on the 12-14th May in Barcelona, Spain.
