Borg & Beck say that the Air, Electrical and Brake Coils that link the tractor unit to the trailer are often parts chosen based on their price, but consideration should be given to the specification requirements. A coil that is unable to endure the daily stresses of a demanding unit can affect fleet owners and businesses if the vehicle breaks down, due to an inferior coil. The coil must retain flexibility, have excellent recoil and be protected from extreme temperatures, as well as be resistant to chemicals that may cause the line to crack or break.

The Borg & Beck coil is manufactured using 100% PA12 with a robust Anti Kink Tail Support. It comes with premium quality M18 steel fittings and is adaptable for any make of CV with adapters sold separately.

Borg & Beck Air Brake Compact Coils offer superior anti-tangling and anti-kinking properties and are highly resistant to UV and other chemicals, such as oil, diesel, battery acid. These coils also come with premium quality M18 steel fittings and are adaptable for any make of CV with adapters sold separately.

Core Normal and Supplementary Coils have similar flexibility and feature a moulded plug with unique float feature for easy insertion into the mating socket, plus anti-splay terminals for 100% contact and robust repeated use. Meanwhile 2 in 1 Adaptor Coil Assemblies also have Anti-splay terminals and feature colour-coded connectors to match ISO standards.

EBS Electrical Coil Assemblies are also available with red colour-coded tail support and separate data lines to eliminate interference. They are manufactured to ISO 7638 standards and include a locking device for exceptional pin retention.
