Invest with confidence in ProADAS calibration systems

Reflecting the need for workshops to offer ADAS calibration services, Ryans Automotive is now offering great value starter packages on SICE ProADAS systems from the Nexion Group.

More and more cars on the road are now equipped with advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and from 2021 all new cars to the market must have various ADAS systems fitted to the car, including automatic emergency braking and lane keeping assist.

The most common ADAS devices include, front collision warning, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane exit warning, lane assistant, blind spot monitoring, parking assistance/ self-parking and adaptive headlights that steer with the vehicle . ADAS operation is based on inputs from a variety of sensors that allow systems to “see” what is happening around the car. The most common sensors are radars, ultrasounds and cameras. Some systems use the information from a single sensor, but others combine information from multiple sensors, in a process called sensor fusion, to obtain a more accurate “view” of the situation.

Ryans Automotive says that every repairer, be it a mechanic, tyre repairer, glazing specialist or body repairer, needs the right tools, technology and partners to properly repair and calibrate the electronic safety systems on newer vehicles. ADAS post-repair calibration is essential because these systems are called upon to guarantee the protection of passengers inside the vehicle. Customers have become increasingly “dependent” (in a positive way) on front and rear cameras, blind spot monitors and lane assist technologies. When a driver gets behind the steering wheel today, he or she trusts the vehicle’s safety systems.

For the modern workshop being able to calibrate and repair ADAS systems is a must to ensure customer satisfaction, but more importantly, to ensure the correct safe functioning of the vehicle on the road.

ADAS equipment represents a significant investment for workshops, but thanks to SICE’s long history in alignment equipment through Nexion Group, workshops can invest with confidence in the ProADAS system. This is also available with integrated 4 wheel alignment which allows a higher return on investment on the equipment. ProADAS can also be added to any existing modern Nexion Group CCD or 3D aligner or used as a standalone ADAS calibration unit.
